Easy Money/ Grants [07 Aug 2006|08:08pm]

techno_tension8
Whats up guys

I'm Amanda, going into my Junior yeat at FAU. Anyway, as a college student, if there is one thing I know, it's def. needing money. Sooo, if you are interested:

Try out this site: http://www.cashcrate.com/index.php?ref=28667

All you do is complete the offers and this site pays you a small amount of money. Once you've earned $5.00 or more dollars, it mails youa check. In the past three moneths, I've seriously earned about 190 bucks...not bad for sitting on my ass doing nothing. It's basically really easy money. You dont even actually have to sign up for other offers, you just have to complete like the first two pages, usually. When you sign up, you'll understand it better. But feel free to ask any questions. By using that link, I am getting referal points, so it'dbe nice if you used it. But, sign up when you have nothing better to do, complete a few offers and see how you like it. They pay out monthly and I think its pretty worth it.

My proof (when they did use paypal)
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

And also, other than Fastweb, is there any other sites where one can sign up for grants and scholarships? thanks!

I will be graduating from college this December. I am incredibly excited and I'll be going into the peace corps next year.

My question is, does anyone have any good graduation party ideas? I'm inviting mostly family but also some close friends so "BEER!!1!" isn't really appropriate for this party.

So far, I'm thinking of having a "give sara life advice" box or journal. Also I thought it would be fun to buy some big cheap paper maps and lay them out as tablecloths.

College Rocks My World [24 Oct 2004|05:56pm]

New Kid! Some stats:

Name:Michelle
Age:19
College:Ohio State, baby!
Major:Music Education, choral.
Minor:Undecided, probably a language.

Anyways, my favorite part about college: FOOTBALL! Really, I never paid attention to my HS football team (mostly because we were bad(quite unlike the Buckeyes this year *sarcasm*)). But, I went to the OSU v. Indiana game this past weekend and it was one of the best times I've had in college.

Other favorites about college include freedom from parents, not having class straight through the day (on most days at least), the huge number of people I have the chance to meet...and, of course, parties!

That's about all I have to say.

intro and plug [28 Sep 2004|06:58pm]

road_to_alumni
Hey!! Allow myself to introduce, myself:
I am: 22
A graduating senior at the University of Missouri-Columbia.
A Human Development and Family Studies major.
A reformed party-girl.
A writer.

Aaaaand...I thought I would quickly advertise my LJ, road_to_alumni. I'm a student at the University of Missouri-Columbia, about to graduate in December. I'm an observer by nature (my first major was journalism) and I've been collecting my college stories since freshman year. The collection of these stories, I'm calling "The Road to Alumni" and it is story of the journey my friends and I have taken over the last four and a half years. I don't necessarily think my college stories are any cooler than anyone elses, and I don't think that I've had an amazingly unique experience here at Ol' Mizzou. I just want to tell my story to as many people as possible, with as few mushy epiphanies as possible. My ramblings, I hope, will shine some light on the college experience for the freshmen or even high school senior and allow fellow upperclassmen and grads to reminesce a bit.

I thought I would let you guys know about this, since I'm writing it about a college community, an interest of all of us here.

If the spirit moves you, do check it out. I will have a new installment every few days, at least once a week.

Thanks!!
Allison

Need help [22 Jun 2004|09:50am]

[ mood | frustrated ]

Hey y'all! I've got a quick question. I've got to write an essay for a scholarship I'm applying for, and one of the requirements is to reference a book that is influential in determining what a "nation" actually is in today's world. I've racked my brain for a good book and can't seem to come up with anything. Anyone got any ideas? Let me know.

Thanks!

Hey, everyone. I just now figured out how to join a community, so I thought I'd post really quick. I'm a senior Accounting major, looking to graduate in December. I'm at school here in Tennesssee, and just figured I'd look around and see if I could meet some people. If you ever wanna talk, I'm always up for it!

Jones here. I joined this community yesterday. There doesn't seem to have been much posting in the past or anything, but it's all good. I attend the University of Denver in duh duh duh, Denver, CO. We're still on the quarter system there so, I've been finished with my first go, I'm a freshman in college, for about five weeks now. Feel free to read my journal, but it gets weird. I don't have a pic on my profile, but I have an old prom pic at members.msn.com/chae_alex85@hotmail.com. Um... other things about me. I'm a pretty scandalous procrastinator and I've slept SO much during this break. It seems that the job opportunities around this place(from Knoxville, Tn) are frozen a few days before I get here. No need to lie though, I didn't look that hard. I think that's it for now. Take care everyone. Much respect, much love.

I SURVIVED MY FIRST SEMESTER [15 Dec 2003|05:05pm]
carbyleg
Things I learned at college:

- How to live off of Ramen Noodles and Cheez Its for an entire semester

- After a while, cheap beer actually tastes good

- You hate your roommate at first, then love her, then hate her, and then love, and then hate, and when the semester is over, you realize you're going to miss her.

- Credit Cards ROCK

- Credit Cards SUCK!!

- Someone will OD on something at least once a week

- Sorority Girls SUCK, it's like paying for friends

- Fraternity Guys are mostly homosexuals, serously, about 5 or 6 guys I knew "came out" this semester.

- Everybody wants to get laid

SIGH......
